Cottages

Cottages are dwellings that are rural or semi-rural in location. Cottages are smaller in size with one or one and a half stories. Most cottage plans are characterized by an cozy feeling that make them perfect for vacation retreats or getaway homes. In the Middle Ages, cottages housed agricultural workers and their families. In North America, most buildings known as cottages are used for weekend or summer getaways by city dwellers. Cottages generally are located near lakes or the ocean, and in wilderness areas known for exceptional fishing and hiking.
