Screened Porch/Three Season Room

A screened porch or three-season room is defined as a porch of any size that is used for relaxing and socializing and is completely screened on all sides. This style of porch became popular in the Midwest and South where bugs and pests are more prevalent in the warmer summer months. In some regions of the country where lake house plans and mountain or rustic style home plans are built, screened porches provide a terrific atmosphere for sleeping in the crisp, cool mountain air.
