Game/Recreation/Billiard Room

Game or recreation rooms are used for a variety of purposes including a billiard room. But, primarily these are casual areas perfect for parties, games and other everyday use. This term is common in the United States, but much less common in the United Kingdom where the term is games room. This area of the home is a favorite with children and teenagers as a casual escape located usually on a second floor or lower level and equipped with several forms of entertainment including audio/video equipment and games. Usually decorated for comfort, these spaces may include cozy overstuffed couches and recliners, a bar for entertaining and fun accessories.
