Daylight Basement

Daylight basement foundations are the same as walk-out basement foundations. As with all basement types, daylight basements may be finished or unfinished. A daylight basement has a separate entrance from outside the home, and one can simply walk into or out of the basement from that entry. House plans with daylight basements usually have plenty of sunlight in the areas facing the entry, so their space can be used in a variety of ways. Also, daylight basement house plans work especially well on a sloped lot, since less digging will be required.
