Daylight Basement

A daylight basement foundation is the same as a walk-out basement foundation. As with all of the basement types, a daylight basement may be finished or unfinished. A daylight basement has a separate entrance from outside the home, and one can simply walk into or out of the basement from that entry. Daylight basements usually have plenty of sunlight in the areas facing the entry, so their space can be used in a variety of ways. Also, daylight basements work especially well on a sloped lot, since less digging will be required.
