Adding hardware to the cabinets in both the kitchen and the bathrooms seems to really take a home to the next level when it comes to style. It gives that finishing touch that makes a home have the feeling that all of the tiniest details have been accounted for. After moving in, we decided to add the hardware ourselves.
There are so many details that need to be considered when building or moving into a new home, but it’s funny how sometimes some of the most obvious things that could potentially make life a lot easier are often overlooked, or are often realized literally moments after you needed to know about them. Take for instance, the dog gate. It is literally something my husband and I struggle with every single day. Most of the year, we entertain smaller groups of family or friends, so Craftsman house plans like ours in a fairly modest size do the job just fine. But, now that the holidays are quickly approaching, we realize the good and bad things about a smaller-sized home and what type of floor plans are best suited for those with frequent guests and those who entertain many people often.
